Plate heat exchanger Introduction
Plate heat exchanger is a kind of efficient heat exchange equipment, which consists of a series of corrugated metal sheets stacked. Thin rectangular channels are formed between these plates, through which heat is exchanged. Plate heat exchanger is widely used in many fields because of its compact structure, high heat transfer efficiency, small footprint, flexible operation and convenient cleaning.
1. Structure
Plate heat exchanger mainly consists of the following parts:
Sheet: Corrugated sheet of metal, usually made of stainless steel, used to conduct heat.
Sealing gasket: installed between plates to prevent fluid leakage and direct fluid flow.
Fixed clamping plate: Used to fix one end of the plate group.
Movable clamping plate: movable clamping plate used to adjust the clamping degree of the plate group.
Clamping bolt: Used to clamp the plate for sealing.
Upper guide rod and lower guide rod: Used for installation and removal of the guide plate group.
Rear column: The structure supporting the entire heat exchanger.
2, working principle
The working principle of plate heat exchangers is based on inter-wall heat transfer. The hot and cold fluids flow respectively in the flow channels on both sides of the plate, and the heat is exchanged through the plate. The specific process is as follows:
A. Fluid distribution: hot and cold fluids enter their respective flow channels through holes at the four corners of the plate.
B. Heat exchange: In the flow channel on both sides of the plate, the cold and hot fluids exchange heat through the plate.
C. Fluid collection: The fluid after exchanging heat flows out of the heat exchanger through the collection tube.
3, the main characteristics
High heat transfer efficiency: The corrugated plate design allows the fluid to form turbulence at low flow rates, improving heat transfer efficiency.
Compact structure: large heat transfer area per unit volume, small footprint.
Flexible operation: By increasing or decreasing the number of plates or adjusting the plate arrangement, the heat transfer area or process combination can be changed.
Easy cleaning: removable design for regular cleaning and maintenance.
Strong adaptability: suitable for a variety of different process requirements and working conditions.
